Unreleased Recordings from 1969

1969—Sessions with The Clingers: Better known as The Clinger Sisters (Peggy, Patsy, Debra and Leesa Clinger), the group cut an infamous pre-punk cover of the Easybeats’ “Good Times” (listed as “Gonna Have a Good Time”) produced by Kim Fowley and Michael Lloyd.

Lee Mallory knew the girls from their performances at local L.A. clubs & the group cut a follow-up for Togethers Records: “Something Here in My Heart / Blackbird.” A second singe was cut with Boettcher producing, but it remained unreleased:

  1. Sing to Me (Lee Mallory)
  2. You Were Near Me (Bodie Chandler / Edward McKendry)*

There probably is also another Boettcher-produced Clingers tune in the vaults from these sessions:

  1. Summer Nights (Sandy Salisbury)

Note: Stephen J. McParland’s research indicates all three songs were credited to “Cindy.”

1969—Together Records sessions with Tom & Dick: Tommy Logan and David Batteau AKA Tom & Dick Manna. Tracks include:

  1. Fantastic
  2. Justine
  3. Satyrs are in Season
  4. Tell It Like It is
  5. There Was a Woman (But Not for Me)

1969—Together Records sessions with The Twice Nicely:

  1. Bimini
  2. Fist
  3. Heather Says (Judy Pulver / Robert Wachtel)
  4. On My Side (Judy Pulver / Robert Wachtel)

1969—Together Records sessions for a solo project:

  1. Another Time (Curt Boettcher)
  2. Back Against the World
  3. Before It Began
  4. Hello Hello!
  5. I Touched the Sun (Curt Boettcher / Sandy Salisbury)

1969—Sessions with The Millennium and Don Grady:

  1. Sunny Day (Don Grady)
