Secret Agent “X” – The Complete Series Volume 4
- Pulp Reprints
by Paul Chadwick, Emile C. Tepperman and G.T. Fleming-Roberts
introduction by Will Murray
For 41 issues from 1934 to 1939, Secret Agent "X" battled the forces of evil in the pages of his own pulp magazine. Now, for the first time... the complete pulp series is being reprinted in nine deluxe omnibus editions! The text has been reset and all the original interior illustrations have been remastered. This volume contains the next four stories, by Paul Chadwick, Emile C. Tepperman and G.T. Fleming-Roberts: "Devils of Darkness," "Talons of Terror," "The Corpse Cavalcade" and "The Golden Ghoul." This is the Secret Agent "X" reprint series to own!

July 13, 2010Man, I need to start getting this series.
Noticed a bump in price with this one.

July 14, 2010Unfortunately so. We were losing money on the last two volumes, so the price had to go up. Still, $35 for 500 pages can’t be beat by any other pulp reprinter.
Only five more volumes to go!

July 20, 2010This is a great, noteworthy series here. Hunting up the original pulps is a lot of fun but also costs a lot of money. To get all the X stories in one series of affordable volumes really compliments the new Secret Agent X tales Airship 27 and Cornerstone Books is publishing. I’m happy to be part of that series and am thrilled that we and Altus can work hand in hand to bring this great character to modern readers!

December 11, 2010Recently bought all four volumes in the past two months and currently reading Volume 3. I too can’t wait for the next volumes to appear. Only wish the covers on the back cover were in color – otherwise great job. Am guesing the remaining books will contain five novels to reach the magic 41.

January 19, 2011I’ve only read the first two novels so far but both were excellent. Devils of Darkness is one of my favorite works by Paul Chadwick who is a writer I always enjoy. I also generally enjoy the work of Roberts so know I won’t be disappointed with the second half of the book.
