About the Echoes Index v1.0
Tom & Ginger Johnson’s Echoes was the longest-running pulp fanzine, spanning three decades. It was indexed gradually by Robert Sampson, and, upon his death, Mike Chomko continued the task until the end of the print version of the magazine (#100). With #101, it became a web-only publication, which was indexed by Tom Johnson and William Thom.
I have now compiled all of their work into one large comprehensive index. This is Version 1.0 of the index, and while it looks good at first glance, there’s a lot more work to be done. You will notice that frequent contributors’ entries are listed semi-chronologically. These should probably be alphabetized. And there are no doubt indexing errors that have crept in; these will be corrected as needed.
The Echoes Index is made available as a PDF free of charge for pulp fans and scholars everywhere. Please let me know of any errors you receive by contacting me via the form on the Contact Us tab.
